TROUT FISHING 2010

It's that time of the year again to start gettin' ready for opening day of trout season!!!

OPENING DAY

SAT. APRIL 10TH, 2010

 AT 8:00 AM

If it's like every year to date so far it should rain cats and dogs, so be sure to bring your rain gear.

NJ Fish & Wildlife has made some very important changes that you should be aware of.

(1) The minimum size for trout this year is now 9 inches.

(2) The daily bag limit for trout remains at six (6) fish per day from April 10, 2009 - May 31, 2010.

(3) The daily bag limit for trout changes to four (4) fish per day starting June 1, 2010 - December 31, 2010 (this remains the same as previous years.).

(4) Waters with in-season stocking closures are closed to fishing from 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Also, Round Valley Reservoir Trout Regulations concerning daily bag limits have been changed so that you can take more fish this year. See the Freshwater Digest (link below) for regulations.
