THANK YOU FOR ATTENDING OUR

2009 3rd ANNUAL BSC/OTHS ALUMNI & FRIENDS

CAMPING & TUBING EVENT!!!

To All ~

I’d like to thank the Barbertown Sportsmen’s Club Members,  friends, and families who attended our 3rd Annual Camping & Tubing Event and who made this event such a great and memorable time.

It was apparent that all of the 31 people who attended had a GREAT time and that there were plenty of good laughs to go around for all.

Next year this event will be even bigger and better as I am changing the date to the first weekend of August 2010 to avoid the conflict with the Ocean Twp. Italian American Festival, as well as school sports conflicts.

Thanks again, and we are looking forward to seeing you all next year!!!

Regards,

Jon B. Tumpey

BSC Treasurer

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING BSC AT OUR 2009
3rd ANNUAL BEEFSTEAK FUNDRAISING EVENT!!!

To All ~

I’d like to thank all of the Barbertown Sportsmen’s Club Members, their friends and families, The Buck Stops Here Hunting Club (Deadbolt & crew), other friends from NJH, and the crew from Vac-U-Max who attended our 3rd Annual Beefsteak who supported us to make this event such a great success.

It was apparent that all of the 130 people who attended had a GREAT time and that there were plenty of Chinese Auction and door prizes to go around for all.

I also would like to thank all BSC Members, Sponsor Companies, and friends who donated all of the great prizes and gifts - your generous donations  made this event the best to date.  There were many positive comments made by those who attended the event about ALL of the numerous  "quality" prizes that we had  available.

ANNOUNCING THE NEWLY FORMED
UNITED CROSSBOW HUNTERS OF NEW JERSEY (UXBNJ)

The UXBNJ was organized to promote and support the use of Crossbows in the State of New Jersey. Our goal is to eliminate the myths and untruths surrounding the introduction of Crossbows into New Jersey. We hope that by getting the Truths about Crossbows out into the public's eyes, people will see that their addition to New Jersey's hunting tools will be a positive action.

Everyone can listen to the UXBNJ's Radio interview on the Rack and Fin Radio show.

You can now click on the below link and listen to the broadcast.

Paul Wells, founder and President (more of you know him as Nightstalker911 on http://www.newjerseyhunter.com) was on the air for about 19 minutes explaining about this new group, so set some time aside, grab some popcorn, and give it a listen.

The UXBNJ, and it's members, feel strongly in the fact that we are all hunters and outdoorsmen, and as such, we should all work together.

I've often heard the saying: "Hunters Helping Hunters". Well, we here at the UXBNJ have added a little to that. We say, "Hunters Helping ALL Hunters" .

As such, in addition to supporting the use of crossbows in NJ, the UXBNJ will strive to support ALL HUNTERS in NJ, no matter what their style of hunting may be.

For membership information and updates on Crossbow Hunting in NJ, contact the UXBNJ at: Nightstalker911@UXBNJ.com

You can check out our website at:

FYI - Jay Wizner's Aunt Kathy is the Secretary for this organization!!!  Yup, that's Adrian and Dennis' Sister-In-Law!!!

Also, if you have any questions you can ask me about this organization and crossbow hunting in NJ by contacting me at: OutlawJT@UXBNJ.com

UPDATE: August 26, 2008

1st ANNUAL BOY SCOUT CAMPOUT,

FIREARM SAFETY

TRAINING/SHOOT, & MARTIAL ARTS

DEMONSTRATION/TRAINING

 THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you to Barbertown Sportsmen's Club, especially Gary M., Mo Esquivel & the other Martial Arts Instructor for making the BSC sponsored BSA Firearms Safety and Shooting Event a GREAT success!!!

Thank you also to Tom Lemanowicz, Jay Wizner, and Jon Tumpey for providing the targets, ammo, and/or for making this event possible and exciting.

It's tough when a girl, and especially one of the scout's sister out shot the boyz on the first shoot during the firearm familiarization round.

The boys, leaders, & parents from Boy Scout Troop 33, Herbertsville (Brick), NJ thank BSC for sponsoring this event for them and are already talking about a return visit in the Spring 2009 for some camping, trout fishing, shooting, and all around outdoor fun  !!!

The boys, Ass't. Scoutmaster, Chris Giunta, and George & Gianna M. extremely enjoyed our hospitality and affording them the opportunity to camp/cookout, spotlight deer on Friday night,
learn firearms and range safety and basic self defense martial arts techniques, fish and wade in the Delaware River at the Kingwood access on Saturday before their rafting/tubing the Delaware River on Sunday.

A GREAT time was had by all and the food was delicious, especially Mr. G's grilled pierogies!!!

Being that I'm Polish and have grown up eating Pierogies cooked the "traditional" way since I was a small child, this was definitely a special and unique treat!!!!

My question to Mr. G is "...Why didn't you try the grilling method using Italian Raviolis instead of using Pierogies, since you were doing this for the first time, and since you "ARE" Italian...?!?!?!?!?!?"  HaHaHaHaHa

I guess it was payback for my position I took concerning "red sauce" versus "gravy".  I still say it's "SAUCE" and NOT "GRAVY!!!! HeHeHe

Note: Pictures have been posted on PhotoBucket on the BSC photo album page at:
BarbertownSportsmensClub

Also, I created a password protected PhotoBucket account for Troop 33 and have provided the information to their leadership and parents so that they can see all of the pictures from this event.

For those who forgot the password for either account, e-mail me and I will send it to you.

Jon
